Telehandler Forklift Training for Novice & Experienced Operators
Delegates will gain practical experience operating a telehandler, supported by essential theory. The course covers safe load handling, stability, manoeuvring, lifting and placing loads, boom operation and pre-use inspections. Training is delivered on your site, across Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, the wider South Yorkshire area and throughout the UK, in line with ITSSAR accreditation requirements.
Course Content
• Health and safety responsibilities for telehandler operators
• Pre-use inspection and maintenance checks
• Understanding stability and rated capacity
• Safe load handling, lifting and placing loads
• Safe use of the telescopic boom
• Manoeuvring in confined areas
• Driving on ramps, inclines and varying ground conditions
• Awareness of workplace hazards
• Practical operating assessment
Novice Course Duration:
• 3 delegates – 5 days
• 2 delegates – 4 days
• 1 delegate – 3 days
Refresher Course:
• 3 delegates maximum – 1 day
Conversion Course:
• Duration dependent on previous certification and machine type
