Articulated Forklift Training for Novice & Experienced Operators (Bendi, Flexi)
Next Level Safety provides accredited articulated forklift training for novice, experienced and existing operators. Delegates will gain practical experience operating an articulated forklift truck, commonly known as a Bendi or Flexi. Training is supported by essential theory and covers the specialist steering, stability and load-handling techniques required to operate safely in narrow warehouse aisles. Training is delivered on your site, anywhere across Doncaster, Sheffield, Worksop, Rotherham, Barnsley, the wider South Yorkshire area and across the UK, in line with ITSSAR accreditation requirements.
Course Content
• Health and safety responsibilities for forklift operators
• Pre-use inspections and defect reporting
• The operator’s safety code
• Articulated forklift controls and components
• Forklift and load stability
• Basic and advanced steering techniques
• Manoeuvring in confined spaces and narrow aisles
• Safe load handling, stacking and de-stacking
• Picking up, transporting and setting down loads
• Awareness of racking, pedestrians and workplace hazards
• Theory and practical operating assessments
Novice course duration:
• 3 delegates – 5 days
• 2 delegates – 4 days
• 1 delegate – 3 days
Refresher Course:
• 3 delegates maximum – 1 day
Conversion Course:
• 3 delegates – 2 days
• 2 delegates – 2 days
• 1 delegate – 1 day
Truck type:
• P1 – Rider-operated Pivot Steer Truck (Articulated, Bendi or Flexi)
