Delegates will gain practical experience operating an overhead travelling crane, supported by essential theory. The course covers safe lifting techniques, crane controls, load movement and pre-use inspections. Training is delivered on your site, anywhere across Doncaster, Worksop, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, the wider South Yorkshire area and throughout the UK, in line with relevant PUWER and LOLER requirements.

• Crane controls and operating procedures
• Safe working loads and crane limitations
• Safe lifting, travelling and lowering techniques
• Controlling load swing
• Awareness of workplace hazards
• Theory and practical assessments

Novice Course Duration:
• 4 delegates maximum – 2 days

Experienced Course Duration: 
• 6 delegates maximum – 2 days

Refresher Course:
• 4 delegates maximum – 1 day
