Multidirectional Forklift Training for Novice & Experienced Operators
Next Level Safety provides multidirectional forklift training for novice, experienced and existing operators. Delegates will gain practical experience operating a multidirectional forklift truck, supported by essential theory. Training covers the specialist steering system, travelling in different directions, handling long or awkward loads, safe stacking and pre-use inspections. Training is delivered at your site, anywhere across Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Worksop, the wider South Yorkshire area and across the UK, in line with ITSSAR accreditation requirements.
Course Content
• Health and safety responsibilities for forklift operators
• Pre-use inspections and defect reporting
• Forklift stability and load assessment
• Multidirectional steering and travel modes
• Changing direction and selecting the correct steering mode
• Handling long, wide and awkward loads
• Safe stacking and de-stacking
• Manoeuvring in confined spaces and narrow aisles
• Operating around racking, vehicles and pedestrians
• Practical driving and handling assessment
Novice course duration:
• 3 delegates – 5 days
• 2 delegates – 4 days
• 1 delegate – 3 days
Refresher Course:
• 3 delegates maximum – 1 day
Conversion Course:
• 3 delegates maximum – 1–2 days, depending on previous qualification and truck type
Truck type:
• M1 – Rider-operated multidirectional counterbalance lift truck
• M2 – Rider-operated multidirectional side loader lift truck
• M3 – Rider-operated multidirectional reach truck
